When i’m out and about in London, and its time to pray without a mosque in sight, i’ve found a simple way to work out the direction of the Qibla. All i need to do is to look for a Sky satellite dish: the direction it faces is generally a very good indication of the direction of the Qibla. I checked this in East and Central parts of London and it holds true. If there are people from other parts of London reading this blog i’d appreciate it if you could confirm whether the same holds true for you too. And likewise people in other cities in the UK.

Since I heard from a friend (some 6 years ago)that satellite dishes could be used to locate the Kibla, I never worry about direction anymore. Alhamdulilah!
But one correction brother; it doesnt have to be a Sky satellite dish – others face the same way. Sky media company (brand name) is the most advancedin the UK, its owner is Australian.
